Smart Bath B&B changes hands

The Kennard hotel in Bath has been bought by Giovanni and Mary Baiano off an asking price of £950,000.

The smart, 12-bedroom B&B is a Grade I-listed Georgian terrace in Henrietta Street, close to the city centre.

It has been run under management for some time but the new owners will operate the business themselves.

The purchase marks a return to the hospitality industry for Giovanni after a spell in the automobile business. He started his career as bar manager at the Antico Martini restaurant in Venice some 20 years ago when it held two Michelin stars.

The sale was handled by the Cirencester office of Colliers Robert Barry.
