Sky bar to crown Fletton Quays hotel

A sky bar will be the crowning glory of a 160-bedroom hotel planned for Peterborough.

ELG Planning has applied for planning permission for the nine-storey hotel on behalf of Fletton Quays Hotel and Peterborough Investment Partnership, a regenerative partnership between Peterborough City Council and GB Strategic Land Fund.

The hotel will be part of the wider £120m Fletton Quays development and feature a sky bar on the top floor overlooking the city, River Nene, and 900-year-old cathedral, as well as conference and events facilities, and a waterfront restaurant and bar.

The site is currently unoccupied derelict land previously occupied by a now demolished 1960s building.

Plans for the wider development were approved by Peterborough City Council in 2015, and include flats, offices, shops, restaurants and leisure facilities.
