Shaftesbury buys freehold of former Manzi's eatery

London restaurant investor Shaftesbury is on the hunt for an operator to run the former Manzi's eatery located off the West End's Leicester Square.

Previously family run, the property comprises a restaurant, which stretches over the basement, ground and first floor, and a 17-room hotel on the upper floors.

Freeholder Shaftesbury wants someone to take on the restaurant or the hotel, or entire property, under a new lease.

Shaftesbury owns more than 150 restaurants in London's West End including sites in Carnaby, Soho; Chinatown and the Opera Quarter in Covent Garden.

The deal was handled by property agents Davis Coffer Lyons.
