Scottish & Newcastle snap up Somerset village inn

Scottish & Newcastle Pub Enterprises has bought the Castle hotel in Porlock, Somerset.

The village inn has a prominent roadside position within the Exmoor National Park and is close to the West Somerset coast.

It offers nine en-suite bedrooms, two bar areas, a 60-seat restaurant and manager and staff accommodation across three floors.

The property also has various outbuildings, stores, a paddock and parking spaces.

Stonesmith of Exeter sold the inn off an asking price of £895,000 on behalf of the Seabrook Investments consortium.
