Runners wanted for charity 10K

The countdown is on to the inaugural Hotelympia10K race, which is being staged to mark the opening day of this year's Hotelympia event in London's Docklands.

On the 19 February 2006, thousands of runners will take on the city circuit in a bid to raise money for Springboard Charitable Trust, the industry's careers and education charity.

As with all charity running events, fancy dress looks to be popular with a number of competitors due to appear in their chef whites and waiters uniforms.

In case the distance takes its toll, be assured that at least one hotel team is pushing a bed around the course.
