Rezidor names managers for first Missoni hotels

Hotel group Rezidor has announced the appointment of general managers for its first two fashion designer branded hotels, in Edinburgh and Kuwait City.

The properties are the first two to open from the collaboration between Rezidor and Italian fashion group Missoni.

Carina Williamson is the general manager of Hotel Missoni Edinburgh, which opens in May 2009, while Pascal Gadet takes up the reigns at Hotel Missoni Kuwait, which will open late spring next year.

Norwegian-born Williamson joins from the Radisson SAS Hotel Belfast, where she was general manager.

Gadet joins from The Radisson SAS Resort in El Quseir, Egypt where he was general manager overseeing the launch of the five-star lifestyle resort.

Hotel Missoni is spearheaded by Missoni creative director, Rosita Missoni, and Rezidor executive vice-president of brands, Gordon McKinnon.
