Revere from Marston's launches pub with rooms: the Angel & Blue Pig

Martston's pub company is to launch its first pub with rooms under its new premium Revere banner.

The former Angel in Lymington, Hampshire, will re-open next month following an extensive refurbishment as a pub with 12 bedrooms under a new name, the Angel & Blue Pig.

While the refurbishment will preserve the key features of the original 13th century property, the bedrooms - designed by BGW Concorde - will offer contemporary décor and bespoke furniture with luxury bed linen, flat screen TVs and walk-in showers in the bathrooms.

The pub will provide an all-day menu featuring dishes grilled in a Josper charcoal oven, including 28-day dry aged Black Angus steaks (pictured). Drinks will include the pub's own Blonde Angel ale, as well as a large selection of locally produced Ringwood beers, cask ales, craft beers and an extensive wine list.

Collin Sadler, managing director of Revere, said: "The Angel & Blue Pig is our first pub with rooms and an important step in our growing portfolio. The coaching inn concept allows us to offer quality food, drink and accommodation under one roof, whilst retaining the pub's identity."
