Premier Inn heads list of healthiest hospitality brands
Whitbread's Premier Inn hotel chain has been named as the leading hospitality brand in a ranking of the top 10 travel agents, hotels and guides sector in terms of overall ‘brand health' by YouGov. The annual YouGov BrandIndex league table reveals that Premier Inn has moved into pole position in its sector, up from second place in 2010.
YouGov's BrandIndex measures how 2,000 consumers perceive leading brands in a wide range of sectors on a daily basis in terms of quality, value, customer satisfaction, corporate reputation, general impression, and likelihood of consumers to recommend the brand. The average score across these six attributes is used to create a single index score for performance across the year.
The appearance of brands such as Lonely Planet, TripAdvisor and Rough Guides all appearing high up in the top 10 for overall brand health indicates a strong consumer preference for accessible information.
