Pennyhill Park hotel grounds to be home of England Rugby
Luxury five-star hotel and spa Pennyhill Park, in Surrey, is set to be the home of the Rugby Football Union England team for the next 10 years.
The RFU is to build a new indoor training facility on the grounds, which will include an indoor pitch, gym, changing areas and an outdoor sprint track.
Pennyhill Park will also have access to the complex, to allow partnership with other high-performance teams, such as the American National Football League (NFL).
Exclusive Hotels and Venues managing director Danny Pecorelli said (pictured): "This is a really exciting development for Pennyhill Park.
"The RFU are sending a clear message that they are committed to providing the very best foundation on which to build and sustain a successful winning formula."
The 123-bedroom Pennyhill Park, a 19th century house, is set in 120 acres of Surrey countryside, and is part of Exclusive Hotels and Venues, which operates three other similar hotel properties in the UK.
One of its restaurants, the Latymer, is headed up by Michelin-starred chef Michael Wignall, while the Brasserie is led by head chef Ram Jalasutram.
