A look at the latest restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars to open their doors
The Hyde at the Royal Park hotel
The Hyde bar has opened to the public at the Royal Park hotel near London's Hyde Park. Aimed at providing an elegant but cosy space for lunch or afternoon tea, and a dimly lit cocktail bar or dinner venue by night, the bar has the character of a 19th century British townhouse.
Like the rest of the hotel, the Hyde has a selection of Georgian antiques, and the furniture is made of old mahogany or rosewood. The bar's interior was created by the in-house design team at parent company Roseate Hotels and Resorts, along with design input from Smriti Bhatia.
The drinks menu includes a worldwide selection of premium wine and spirits including the Balvenie 40 whisky, Yamazaki whisky and Tesseron Extreme cognac.
