Not your woods! Hotel asked to change video ad after complaint

A hotel has changed a video advertising its status as a wedding venue following a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

The Gainsborough House Hotel in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, produced a video promoting what it could offer in terms of wedding packages.

However, a viewer complained that it was misleading because it implied that woodland featured in the video was part of the hotel's garden.

The ASA has approached the hotel and asked it to change the ad without making a formal ruling and the hotel agreed.

"On that basis we considered the matter resolved and closed the case," a spokesman for the ASA said.
