New owners for Pembrokeshire hotel

Manian Lodge, a small Pembrokeshire country hotel on the edge of the UK's only National Coastal Park, has changed hands.

Mike Atkinson and his wife are the new owners of the two-storey Victorian building which had an extension added in the 1960s.

The hotel is set back from the main road outside the village of Kilgetty and holds a four-diamond rating from the AA and a three-star rating from the Welsh Tourist Board..

Along with six en-suite bedrooms, the hotel offers seven two-bedroom, self-catering apartments overlooking the gardens and seated patio areas along with a three-bedroom bungalow for the owners.

Facilities include a 30-seat lounge and bar area and a 32-seat restaurant that can be expanded to accommodate up to 80 guests buffet-style.

The hotel trades all year round and stands to benefit from the proposed Bluestone Project that would add a holiday village with leisure facilities nearby.

The Bristol office of Christie + Co sold the freehold off an asking price of £495,000.
