He joins at the property, which opened in January with 100 suites, from the Ace hotel London Shoreditch, where he was hotel manager. Before that, he was operations manager at the Hoxton, Shoreditch.

Newbould said he was proud and excited to be joining Urban Villa. "I look forward to helping the brand establish itself in an exciting and vibrant market," he said.
Andrew Fowler, hospitality director at Union Hanover, explained that the new appointments are crucial in the establishing the Urban Villa brand, with further openings planned for Stratford in East London, and Edinburgh.
"It's particularly important for us to create a strong platform on our first project in order to develop our standard operating procedures, systems and strategies. The next 20 months allows us to fine tune and create a well-oiled operational machine ready for large growth in 2017 and 2018," he added.
