Millennium & Copthorne announces new group chief executive
Millennium & Copthorne Hotels has announced Aloysius Lee Tse Sang as its new group chief executive officer.
Lee is set to take over from Wong Hong Ren in February 2015, officially joining the board of directors from March. Wong will step down from the board on 28 February.
Current chief executive of South Beach Consortium, Lee has worked in the leisure, information technology, telecommunications and estate agent sectors, and held senior leadership positions with Chinese estate agents groups Shui On Land, Hong Kong Telecom, Star Cruises and Singapore Airlines.
Kwek Leng Beng, Millennium & Copthorne chairman, said: "On behalf of the Board, I welcome Aloysius Lee to the Group. His long and distinguished career in real estate, hospitality and technology makes him an ideal chief executive for Millennium & Copthorne."
He also thanked Wong Hong Ren for his dedication, wished him well for the future, and said he had been instrumental in developing and executing key elements of Group strategy.
With 20 hotels in the UK, including seven in London, the group operates globally, including in America, France, Italy, Germany, across Asia, and in New Zealand, the Middle East, China and Taiwan.
