McKever Hotels buys second property on Loch Lomond

Scotland's McKever Hotels has bought its second property on Loch Lomond in the shape of the four-star, 19th century Inverbeg Inn.

The hotel, which was built in 1814, is located outside Luss on the A82 Loch Lomond road, one of the main tourist routes on the West Coast of Scotland.

Inverbeg Inn was sold through the Glasgow office of Christie + Co on behalf of Orrmac 500 in a one-off confidential deal that topped £1m.

The hotel has a 70-seat restaurant and 20 en-suite bedrooms, of which several are housed in a separate building directly on banks of Loch Lomond. They are accessed by a walkway that runs under the road from main hotel carpark

McKever Hotels already owns the Rowardennan hotel on the other side of the loch at the foot of Ben Lomond.

The acquisition brings its portfolio to 11 properties, including seven hotels, a serviced accommodation, a self-catering cottage and a B&B.
