Luxury Academy launches a finishing school for hotels
A training programme that offers a cross between a Swiss finishing school and a charm school has been unveiled by the newly launched Luxury Academy.
The Hotel Finishing School intends to provide training which will meet the ever-changing demands of today's luxury hotel guests. The half-day programme includes sessions on creating a memorable first impression, grooming and personal presentation, deportment and demeanour, and use of small talk and language when interacting with guests.
Paul Russell, founder of the Luxury Academy, said there is a requirement to deal with the demands of today's guests who have a clear view of what they expect from top-end hotels. "The Hotel Finishing School helps independent four- and five-star hotels meet these expectations and create exceptional guest experiences," he explained.
The Luxury Academy was set up by Russell, who has 20 years' experience working in management roles for Ritz Carlton and Marriott International, to support training in four- and five-star hotels. It is a training partner to the Ten out of Ten management programme, which operates in 10 luxury hotels outside London.
