Longueville Manor launches private yacht charter
Longueville Manor, Jersey's five-AA-red-star, 30-bedroom country house hotel launches its charter yacht service on 2 May at the Barclay's Jersey Boat Show.
Hotel guests will be able to hire the 44 feet Fizz Too for half and full day trips around the Channel Islands and to France. Hotel owner Malcolm Lewis said: "We're doing it because we want to be ahead of the game."
An eight hour trip for up to ten passengers will cost £2,000. The price includes a champagne and lobster lunch on board. Top speed is 30 knots, allowing the yacht to reach the French port of St Malo in 90 minutes.
Lewis said: "It's strictly for our private hotel guests. I can't wait to share experiences with them such as dolphin watching at Les Minquiers, picnics on Sark,or snorkelling on one of Jersey's beautiful offshore reefs."
He added that Longueville Manor had already sold two charters before the official launch and believed that Fizz Too would be a unique success.
Longueville Manor is the first hotel in the Channel Islands to offer a private luxury yacht service.
