London hotel occupancy falls again in November
London hotel occupancy fell by 2.8% to 83.7% during November, according to new figures published by data company STR.
The ongoing increase in bedroom supply, up 3.3%, alongside a slight decrease (down 0.3%) in demand was responsible for the occupancy decline. The November performance follows the lowest October occupancy rate in London hotels for 11 years (83.4%) being recorded last month.
However, November was the 13th month in a row with positive average daily rate (ADR) growth, up 1% to £153.96. Revenue per available room was down 1.8% to £128.87.
The busiest hotel night of the month was 7 November, when an occupancy rate of 95.5% and ADR of £177.25 was achieved during World Travel Market.
