Local operators buy seafront hotel in Llandudno

Local operators have bought the Marlborough hotel on the Llandudno seafront off a guide price of £1.3m.

The three-star Victorian coaching hotel is located on South Parade in the centre of the North Wales tourist town. It is close to the Mostyn Street shopping centre and to the town's cable car and dry ski slope.

Along with 40 en-suite bedrooms, the hotel offers an 80-seat dining room, a residents' lounge, a lounge bar, a sun veranda overlooking the Great Orme and pier, and three-bedroom owners' accommodation.

New owners John and Jean Murphy previously ran the Ormescliffe hotel in Llandudno.

The Manchester office of Christie + Co handled the sale of the freehold on behalf of Nick and Michelle Kitchen.
