Liverpool One signs up host of restaurant operators
A host of well know restaurant operators have taken space at the mammoth £950m Liverpool One development, which is set to transform the city's centre.
Developer Grosvenor Liverpool Fund has signed up Brasserie Blanc, Loch Fyne, Las Iguanas, Wagamama, Café Rouge, Zizzi and Gourmet Burger Kitchen at the 42-acre site residential and retail development.
Brasserie Blanc and Loch Fyne have both taken units in one of the pavilions on Liverpool One's park at the heart of the scheme. The remaining operators are on the terrace with views of Albert Dock.
Coal, the restaurnat concept set up by Ma Potter's founder John Gater, has also agreed heads of terms to open at the development.
Hilton Hotels has already announced its intention to open a 216-bedroom property at the site, which will be its first hotel in Liverpool.
Made up of 30 individually designed buildings grouped together in five distinct districts with a multiplex cinema, more than 600 residential apartments, two hotels and a five-acre park, Liverpool One is due to open in 2008 as the city celebrates being Europe's Capital of Culture.
