Knut Wylde joins Claridge's as hotel manager

Knut Wylde has been appointed hotel manager of London's Claridge's hotel.

He joins the five-red-AA-star, 203-bedroom hotel from the Dorchester Collection's Coworth Park, near Ascot, where he has been director of operations since 2011.

Prior to joining Coworth Park, Wylde spent eight years in London at the Savoy, St Pancras Renaissance, 45 Park Lane and the Lanesborough. Born in Germany, he has also worked at the One & Only Reethi Rah hotel in the Maldives and spent five years at a number of properties worldwide operated by Rosewood Hotels and Resorts.

As a member of Claridge's executive committee, Wylde will look after the day-to-day operations of the hotel, which will soon include the new restaurant to be launched by Simon Rogan. He will report to general manager, Thomas Kochs.

Wylde said: "I am truly honoured to be appointed hotel manager at one of London's most celebrated hotels. I have long admired Claridge's, its fantastic reputation and the unparalleled guest service it is so well known for."

Kochs added: "With his wealth of experience and talent for hospitality, Knut will play a key role in continuing to ensure that our guests experience exceptional levels of intuitive service."
