Kew Green Holdings adds two more Holiday Inn hotels to portfolio
Kew Green Holdings has confirmed its position as InterContinental Hotels Group's (IHG) largest Holiday Inn franchise partner following the acquisition of two properties from LRG Holdings.
The addition of the two Holiday Inn hotels in Swindon and Portsmouth, follows on from the acquisition by Kew Green of a portfolio of 19 properties under the same brand from LRG, three months ago. Kew Green now has 40 Holiday Inn properties within a wider collection of 55 hotels across the UK.
Paul Johnson, chief executive of Kew Green, said: "This is a truly exciting time for Kew Green. Holiday Inn is one of the most widely known brands in the hotel and leisure industry with strong commercial performance and family heritage that welcomes all."
Kew Green now intends to undertake a £25m refurbishment of the 21 Holiday Inn properties acquired from LRG.
Alongside its Holiday Inn properties, Kew Green also operates hotels under five other brands - Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza, Ramada Encore, Ramada and Courtyard by Marriott - as well as managing two independent hotels, the Richmond Hill in south west London and the Grand in Brighton.
