Jo Boydell appointed chief financial officer of Travelodge
Jo Boydell is to replace Jon Mortimore as chief financial officer of Travelodge. She will join the company next Monday and report directlyto Travelodge's chief executive, Grant Hearn.
A qualified accountant, Boydell is joining the company from Snap Equity, the parent company of camera company Jessops, which recently went into administration. She was previously finance director at Mothercare and has held senior financial position at Ladbrokes, Hilton and the EMI Group.
Mortimore, who led Travelodge's financial restructure last year, is leaving the company to pursue new interests.
Hearn described Mortimore as being "a central figure of the Travelodge management team over the past nine years" and that he understood his reasons for seeking a fresh challenge. "We all wish him every success for the future."
Boydell said she was excited to be joining Travelodge at this time, describing it as "a fantastic business, with a great customer following".
