Jennifer Fox stands down as CEO of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels

Jennifer Fox has stood down as CEO of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels after just three months in the role.

The hotel group has said Fox and its board "mutually agreed" for her to step down.

The decision took affect from the close of business yesterday (Thursday 27 September).

Tan Kian Seng Millennium & Copthorne Hotels' group chief of staff resumes the position of interim CEO from today.

Fox had joined the company on 19 June.

Financial results released in August showed a fall in revenue due to underperforming London properties and refurbishment works.

The hotel group saw total revenue in the first half of the 2018 fall to £477m, compared to £485m the previous year.

Prior to her appointment as CEO of Millennium & Copthorne Fox served as president of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, where she was responsible for the brand's global hotel portfolio, prior to which she held senior positions within InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) over a period of 10 years.

Millennium & Copthorne's 21-strong UK portfolio includes Bailey's and Chelsea Harbour hotels in London, the Millennium Hotel London Knightsbridge (pictured), and Hard Day's Night Hotel in Liverpool.
