Jay Rayner to be keynote speaker at Caterer's Chef Conference
Jay Rayner, the Observer‘s award-winning restaurant critic, will deliver the keynote speech at this year's Caterer and Hotelkeeper Chef Conference on 8 May at London's Landmark hotel.
Rayner, who is known for his fair but trenchant restaurant reviews in the Observer‘s weekly magazine, will kick-off the day's proceedings and return for a one-to-one interview in the afternoon.
He joined the Observer in the mid-1990s and is now a feature writer and reporter with a roving brief, as well as the paper's restaurant critic.
In 2001, he was named the Glenfiddich Food and Drink Awards restaurant critic of the year.
Rayner has also won critical acclaim for his journalism, writing and broadcasting. He has published four books so far, with a fifth The Oyster House Siege, due out later this year.
