ISS confirms three-year services contract with Apple Apartments

The hotels team at facilities management company ISS has taken over the operation of a number of services within Apple Apartments, following the signing of a three-year contract.

ISS is providing housekeeping, linen management and the delivery of guest supplies to Apple's short- and long-stay serviced apartment sites in London and Cambridge. It is the first time ISS has worked with a serviced apartment company.

Jermaine Weekes, director of operations, Apple Apartments, said the company had sought a partner with "a real focus on guest experience" as it aims to become a leader in the UK serviced apartment sector. "We have a range of guests at our establishments, therefore we need to provide great service, end-user experiences and value, which our new partner, ISS, has demonstrated they can deliver," he said.

Karen Thomson, director of hotels at ISS, added: "Apple Apartments is an exciting venture and we're delighted to partner with them on their journey in this booming area. With our experience in working with a range of hotel brands, we can provide real differentiation for our new client and their growth strategy."

As well as providing a total facility management service for the Sunborn London yacht hotel, moored at Royal Victoria Docks alongside the ExCeL Exhibition Centre, ISS also has contracts for partial services with AccorHotels, Hand Picked Hotels, Premier Inn and Travelodge.

Apple Apartments, a member of the Association of Serviced Apartment Providers, operates 500 beds across 24 locations.
