Interstate opens trio of Scottish hotels
Interstate Europe Hotels & Resorts is opening a trio of new hotels, taking its managed portfolio in Scotland to 13.
The management company opened the 155-bedroom Hampton by Hilton Aberdeen Airport and the 105-bedroom Hampton by Hilton Dundee City Centre over the last month. The 173-bedroom Hampton by Hilton Aberdeen Westhill is due to open next month.
The additions take the number of UK and European hotels managed by the Glasgow-based organisation to 70. The company also manages Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn and Ibis Styles-branded hotels.
Nicholas Northam, Interstate's managing director for the UK, said: "Our headquarters are based in Glasgow so we know and understand the Scottish market really well and are extremely confident that the time is right for these hotels to succeed. In addition, these openings reinforce our commitment to the economy in Scotland which is very important to our growing business. It is an exciting time for us as we look to continue to roll out our plans for expansion."
