Hotel Xenia joins Marriott's Autograph Collection
Hotel Xenia in London is the latest hotel to join Autograph Collection, Marriott International's brand of independent, luxury hotels.
The 99-bedroom boutique hotel in South Kensington is the fourth UK hotel to join the collection, and the third in London alongside the 331-bedroom St. Ermin's hotel and the 74-bedroom Threadneedles hotel. The 65-bedroom Glasshouse in Edinburgh is also part of the collection.
Owned by Metmix, headed by chief executive Hassanain Al-Nakeeb, the hotel opened on the site of the former Majestic hotel in 2013.
The Autograph Collection was launched in the UK in 2013 to enable independent properties to retain their individual identity while enjoying access to Marriott's worldwide reservations system and rewards programme. More than 100 hotels are part of the collection worldwide.
John Licence, brand leader for Autograph Collection Hotels in Europe, said: "We are delighted to welcome our third London hotel into the collection. As a hugely popular destination for both leisure and business travellers, we are really excited to have a presence in South Kensington. The portfolio continues to grow in Europe, and we believe that Hotel Xenia is a powerful addition as it truly embodies the philosophy of the collection, ensuring the brand's offering continues to be exactly like nothing else."
