Holiday Inn announces £20.12 room rate to mark Olympics

Holiday Inn will be marking its position as the official hotel provider to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games by offering rooms for just £20.12 for a limited period, for the second year running.

Rooms can be booked at the special rate on 20 December 2011 (2012 day) from 00.01 hours to 23.59 hours for stays on any date between 26th December 2011 and 31 January 2012 (excluding 31 December) at 160 participating Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels.

Bookings at Holiday Inn hotels will be on a room-only basis, but guests staying at Holiday Inn Express will get a free breakfast including some hot dishes.

Denise Lewis, athlete ambassador for Holiday Inn, said: "With the Holiday Inn £20.12 room rate, visiting friends and family this Christmas is much more affordable."

Chris Hale, head of London 2012 for Holiday Inn, said that after the success of the offer last year, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express were keen to give something back to guests to help make Christmas a bit easier on the wallet. "With friends and family descending for a few days at this time of year some of us are left sleeping on the sofa," he said.

"The sale is for one day only and the rooms will go quickly so people should put 2012 day in their diaries and be ready to book their break."

To book a room for £20.12, visit www.holidayinn.com/2012 or call 0871 942 9135 on Tuesday 20 December 2011 from 00.01 hours until 23.59 hours.

As part of its London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games partnership, Holiday Inn will also be providing staff for the Olympic Village, employ aspiring athletes on a flexible basis in the lead-up to the Games, and accommodate the Olympic torch relay team as they travel around the UK.
