HIT Training offers customer service apprenticeships in new academy

HIT Training, the apprenticeship provider for the hospitality sector, has launched a new training initiative to promote exceptional customer service.

The HIT Hospitality Academy follows on from the launch of the HIT Chef Academy three years ago, which has since supported more than 1,000 apprentices.

Recipients of training provided by HIT Hospitality Academy will increase their knowledge in a variety of subjects including mixology, wine pairing, service style and presentation.

"Through the HIT Hospitality Academy, apprentices will gain a solid knowledge and understanding of the service they offer and the products they work with. In turn, this improved skills base with lead to increased customer satisfaction, levels of productivity will go up and as a result levels of profitability within the business will increase."

Jill Whittaker, managing director at HIT Training, added: "In this fast-moving and highly competitive industry, top performing staff can make all the difference to business growth and career satisfaction. And let's not forget that investment in staff training has been proven to have a significant impact on staff recruitment and retention - in fact 80% of companies who invest in apprentices report an increase in staff retention, according to People 1st. It really is win-win."

Founded in 2006, Hit Training has supported over 100,000 learners across 20,000 hospitality sites throughout the UK.
