Hilton to sell off 11 hotels

Hotel and gaming company Hilton put 11 of its UK properties on the market this week.

Those for sale are the Hilton Bradford; Hilton Brighton West Pier; Hilton Corby; Hilton Leeds Garforth; Hilton London Mews; Hilton Moorside Grange; Hilton Norwich; Hilton Portsmouth; Hilton Dunblane Hydro; Hilton East Kilbride and Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor.

Hilton expects to sell them in the next six months, either individually or as a block.

A spokesman said: "The thought process behind the sale is that this is a realignment of our portfolio towards more city-centre sites."

There were no details available on how much the hotels were expected to sell for.

Despite the planned sale, Hilton has eight properties opening in the next couple of years. The four already under development are the Hilton London Bridge, the Hilton Canary Wharf, the Hilton Dublin Airport and the Hilton Manchester Deansgate.
