Hilton to bring Hampton brand to UK
Hilton Hotels Corporation (HHC) is to enter the UK's budget hotel market with the introduction of its Hampton brand, Caterer can reveal.
The brand, which Phil Cordell, senior vice-president of brand management for Hampton said will establish a "new kind of economy", includes complimentary high-speed internet access, complimentary hot breakfast and a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Simon Vincent, area president of Hilton UK and Ireland added the deal represented a "significant first move into the economy sector" and would help reach the company target of doubling the estate from 75 hotels to 150 within a decade.
Privately owned, Somerston, currently owns and operates 34 UK hotels, the majority (32) under the Express by Holiday Inn brand.
