Hilton puts 11 hotels on the market

Hotel group Hilton has confirmed it is putting 11 of its hotels, including the Edinburgh Grosvenor, on to the market in a move that could raise between £80m and £100m.

Hilton said it was looking to sell the hotels as a single block, but would be prepared to offload them individually if necessary.

The hotels will either be sold outright or Hilton will continue to manage them, the group said.

The chain would not be drawn on possible buyers, although the venture capitalist Alchemy Partners has been mooted in some quarters as one possibility.
