Hampton by Hilton Leeds set to open in 2019

Hilton has signed a franchise agreement for a 192-bedroom Hampton by Hilton in Leeds city centre, expected to open in late 2019.

The 14-storey hotel will be part of the first phase of a regeneration project being developed by a consortium of Singapore-listed companies led by Heeton Holdings.

The scheme will create a new urban destination on the 2.45 acre Bridge Street site once occupied by British Gas, prior to its relocation to Holbeck.

Judith Blake, leader of Leeds City Council, said: "We're excited to welcome Hampton by Hilton to Leeds. This confidence in Leeds has a direct impact on the economic success of the city, making a difference to everyone who lives and works here."

Alex Chakrabarti, head of hospitality at Heeton Holdings, added: "We are thrilled to partner with Hilton as the franchisor for our hotel in Leeds. The hotel is well situated within the city centre and will contribute greatly to the vibrancy of the city as well as the growing hospitality sector in Leeds."

Hilton has two hotels in Leeds, the Hilton Leeds City and DoubleTree by Hilton Leeds City Centre.

Plans are in place to more than double the number of Hampton by Hilton hotels in the UK . There are currently 18 currently open and a further 22 in the pipeline.
