Group hotel director to leave Cedar Court Hotels
John Horvath, group hotel director of the five-strong Cedar Court Hotels group, is to step down from the role after spending 22 years with the Yorkshire-based company.
Since joining the business as general manager of what was then Cedar Court's only hotel in Wakefield, Horvath has gone on become a key member of the team which has overseen the expansion of the group which now includes four four-star hotels and the five-star Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa in York.
Horvath said he had had a "wonderful" career with Cedar Court Hotels during which the group has grown to become Yorkshire's largest independent hotel group.
"I have had the immense pleasure of working with some exceptionally talented and dedicated people throughout all areas of the company," he explained. " I'm extremely proud of what has been achieved during my time with Cedar Court Hotels and I'm confident that it will continue to go from strength to strength in the future. For me, the time is right for me to pursue several exciting new opportunities within the hotel and leisure sector."
Kevin Henry, group managing director of Cedar Court Hotels, added: "John has been an extremely important part of the considerable development and growth of Cedar Court Hotels over many years; his energy and commitment to the company has been second to none. He will be missed by staff right across the group, but we will strive to ensure that the legacy that he has helped to create continues to be built upon and that the group has an extremely bright future."
Horvath will continue in his role with Cedar Court Hotels until 29 August 2014.
