Great Yarmouth hotel attracts London buyers

A London couple who own a Chinese medicine centre in Ipswich have bought the Cavendish House hotel in the Norfolk holiday resort of Great Yarmouth.

The three-storey hotel, which carries a three-diamond RAC rating, has a central location on Princes Street near the main shopping centre and Britannia Pier.

It offers 19 en-suite bedrooms, a 44-seat restaurant/breakfast room and a basement bar/function room for 44 guests that includes a dance floor, a pool table and a 10-seat dry lounge.

The owners' accommodation comprises a lounge, office and bathroom on the ground floor and a bedroom in the basement.

Outside, there is seating in the front garden and two courtyards to the rear.

The Ipswich office of Christie + Co sold the freehold to Mr and Mrs Wang off a guide price of £380,000 on behalf of Vanessa Brookbanks.
