Great Eastern hotel to be renamed Hyatt on Broadgate

London's Great Eastern hotel is to be renamed the Hyatt on Broadgate, as part of a £4.8m rebranding exercise, CatererSearch can exclusively reveal.

Following the hotel's takeover by the Hyatt Corporation earlier this year, the rebranding will take place on 1 January 2007 and is set to include the refurbishment of the GE club, lobby and guest rooms.

General manager Clifford Grauers said: "We think this is a great hotel. Business is going well and we believe there's a good opportunity to expand the business further."

He added: "Hyatt can bring some added benefits to the business while maintaining some of the quirkiness and style of the Great Eastern."
