Golfing hotel in Lincolnshire for sale for £1.65m

A golfers' mecca near the Lincolnshire village of Woodhall Spa has been put on the market for around £1.65m.

Dower House hotel is an Edwardian Arts and Craft-style country house hotel set in two acres of grounds close to the English Golf Union's National Golf Centre.

The woodland property, which overlooks the first hole of the Bracken Course, sells 65% of its room nights to golfers.

The luxury hotel was built in 1905 as a family home and has recently benefited from a £500,000 refurbishment.

Along with nine luxury en-suite bedrooms, it offers a 40-seat restaurant and two lounge bars.

One is called Harry's after Harry Plumb, who ran the hotel with his wife Carol for 28 years. The second lounge, which leads to a terraced decking, doubles as a 20-seat private dining room.

The premises include owners' accommodation providing two bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom and loft access.

The hotel is being marketed through the Birmingham office of Knight Frank
