Go-head given for Roomzzz Aparthotel in Chester

The former office of the Driver Vehicle and Licensing Agency (DVLA) in Chester is to be converted into a 64-unit Roomzzz Aparthotel.

Planning permission has been secured for the property, which sits within a conservation area of Chester, adjacent to the city walls.

Roomzzz currently operates six aparthotels in Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle, and will soon open properties in Liverpool and London.

Work on the Chester property, which will involved the addition of an additional storey, will begin immediately with an opening expected in the autumn. The project had originally been due to launch in 2013.
