Four Seasons hotel at Canary Wharf appoints New Yorker as general manager
The five-star, 142-bedroom Four Seasons Hotel London at Canary Wharf has appointed Lynn Brutman as its new general manager.
Brutman takes over from Michael Purtill who has been appointed general manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet.
In her new role, she will oversee the running of the luxury hotel which enjoys widespread views of the River Thames and London.
Brutman joins the Canary Wharf property from Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, where she was the hotel manager. Brutman played an integral role in the closure of the former Toronto hotel and the opening of the company's new flagship property in Canada in 2012.
During her 22 years hospitality experience, she has spent four years working as resort manager at the 273-bedroom Four Seasons Resort Whistler, as well as being director of rooms at both Four Seasons Hotel Miami and Newport Beach. She started her Four Seasons' career within the rooms division at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago (a Four Seasons hotel).
A native of New York, Brutman holds a degree in hotel administration from the University of New Hampshire.
