First-time buyers clinch Philipburn hotel

The Philipburn Country House hotel in Selkirk, Scottish Borders, has been sold for about £895,000. The new owners, Stephen and Joan Booy, have moved into the hotel trade for the first time. The property has a total of 14 bedrooms and five self-catering units in addition to a 46-seat restaurant and 24-seat breakfast room. There is a one-bedroom house in the grounds for the owners. The agent was Colliers Robert Barry.
