Filmbank Distributors rebrands as Filmbankmedia

Catey Special Award sponsors Filmbank Distributors has rebranded as Filmbankmedia.

The move marks a change to include the delivery of technology and digital enhancement of film screenings as well as film licensing and distribution.

Its new website, www.filmbankmedia.com, which includes a film library of over 15,000 films with categories to inform customers of titles available on ‘pre-DVD' release, new to the library as well as classics, has been designed so that customers can easily acquire licensing and search for films for screening events.

Other new features include an advanced search facility that allows guests to search by keyword, genre, production year, cast and director to help customers to source films, and guidance on licensing for organisations in the hotel sector, particularly those seeking entertainment for integrated video-on-demand systems.

Majella Griffin, Filmbankmedia's managing director, said: "Filmbankmedia's hotel clients include the big chains right through to independent operators, and this is not just in bedrooms. Increasingly, hotels are purchasing a licence to create ‘pop-up' cinemas and make use of empty conference and public spaces.

Filmbankmedia is a joint venture between Warner Bros., Sony Pictures and NT Digital Partners and represents many of the major Hollywood, Bollywood and independent film studios and distributors for film screenings outside of the cinema and home, in over 150 territories worldwide.
