Doubletree by Hilton signs three franchise deals

Hilton Worldwide has announced the signing of franchise agreements for the launch of three Doubletree by Hilton properties in Bristol, Edinburgh and Nottingham.

Following a franchise agreement with Focus Hotels Management, the former Jarvis hotel, a quarter of a mile from Bristol Temple Meads station, will be under-go a multimillion-pound renovation to be converted to the 201-bedroom DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol City Centre. Due to re-launch in the spring, the hotel will include the Arts bar, Kiln restaurant and health club.

West Register Hotels has agreed a franchise deal to convert the former Point hotel in Edinburgh to the 139-bedroom DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre. The rebranding will take place in the summer following a period of refurbishment, during which the hotel will be operated by BDL Management. Located in Scottish capital's old town, the hotel will include a brasserie-style restaurant and bar, with a top-floor penthouse suite overlooking Edinburgh Castle.

Meanwhile, the 106-bedroom DoubleTree by Hilton Nottingham Gateway will launch in late 2013 following the transformation of the Nottingham Gateway hotel, including the addition of a new swimming pool. Located on the A610 linking Nottingham to the M1, the hotel is to be franchised to Exceptional Hotels & Resorts.

Beginning the year with the signing of these three outstanding hotels is testament to our aspirations to continue in the same vein throughout 2013."

Hilton Worldwide currently operates 112 hotels in the UK under six brands, with a further 23 properties in the pipeline.
