Dominic Chapman to head up new restaurant at the Feathers at Woodstock

Chef and restaurateur Dominic Chapman is set to open a new restaurant in partnership with the Feathers at Woodstock in Oxfordshire.

Kitchen by Dominic Chapman will open on 17 October at the hotel, offering seasonal dishes including rabbit and bacon pie with mashed potato, as well as peppered haunch of venison, creamed spinach and sauce poivrade, or lemon sole with cockles.

Chapman is chef proprietor of the Beehive in White Waltham and formerly head chef of Heston Blumenthal's Michelin-starred Hinds Head in Bray, and then head chef of Michael Parkinson's Royal Oak in Paley Street where he also won a star.

Chapman had been expected to head up a new restaurant at the new Southdown hotel in Eastbourne, Sussex - another property operated by Premier Cru - when it was due to open earlier this year. However, the project is thought to have been put on hold.
