Dixon leaves Brown's for Hertfordshire

Matthew Dixon has left his post as general manager of Rocco Forte's Brown's hotel in London to take over the reins at the Grove in Chandler's Cross, Hertfordshire.

Dixon, who had been general manager at Brown's since November last year, left the company late last month. He had been with Rocco Forte Hotels since 1998 and will take up his new position at the Grove on 2 August.

He replaces former managing director Michael O'Dwyer, who left the hotel last December.

Rocco Forte Hotels said it had not yet found a replacement for Dixon. Brown's is currently closed for refurbishment and will not reopen until February 2005.
