Dirty hotel bathrooms top hate list for business travellers

Dirty hotel bathrooms are the number one dislike for business travellers, research has revealed.

The study of 500 travellers, part of the American Express Business Travel ‘Loves and Hates' survey, showed that 66% hate unclean bathrooms, just ahead of uncomfortable bed and bad odours (both 63%).

A lack of hotel facilities, such as a gym, featured well down the list with only 27% of travellers being affected by this.

When asked how the business trip experience could be enhanced, 26% rated having a partner or family member with them as the top desire.

The poll was conducted by independent research company Loudhouse, which quizzed travelers from the UK, France, Germany and the Nordic region.
