David Hughes appointed GM of hotel Indigo Liverpool

Sanguine Hospitality has appointed David Hughes as general manager of hotel Indigo Liverpool, its 151-bedroom boutique hotel on Chapel Street. Hughes has joined from Whitbread, where he spent five years as general manager at Liverpool's Premier Inn Albert Dock, guiding the hotel to the Whitbread Business of the Year award.

He has 14 years' experience in the industry and, prior to working at the Premier Inn Albert Dock, he spent two years managing the Premier Inn Leeds, formerly Travel Inn. Sanguine Hospitality chairman Simon Matthews-Williams previously worked with Hughes at his Crowne Plaza hotel in Liverpool before he sold the business to Centre Island Hotels Group.
