Cotswold House hotel appoints new senior chef team

Double-Catey award winner Cotswold House hotel in Chipping Campden has appointed a new head and sous chef to lead its kitchen brigade.

The 3-AA rosette property, which was named one of Michelin's rising stars in its latest guide earlier this year, has welcomed John Sherry and Stewart Lennox from The Swan hotel at Streatley.

Sherry, who was head chef at The Swan, previously worked as sous chef at Inverlochy Castle hotel in the Scottish Highlands. Lennox was sous chef at The Swan.

They join the 29-bedroom hotel and sister property the Noel Arms as owners Ian and Christina Taylor are considering offers for the properties, thought to be valued at £14.85m, through agents Knight Frank.

Previous Cotswold House head chef, Jamie Forman, has moved on after six years to join Adrian Campbell-Howard's Dial House hotel in Bourton-on-the-water, Gloucestershire, as head chef.
