Cornwall hotel on the market for £1.5m
The three-AA-star, 14-bedroom Cormorant hotel in Cornwall is on the market at a guide price of £1.5m as the current owner is looking to retire.
The boutique hotel is located on the River Fowey, two miles from the town of Fowey. All bedrooms, public areas and the two-AA-rosette restaurant overlook the river. Alongside the restaurant is a lounge with seating for 20 and a cocktail bar, and there is a separate building housing a swimming pool and jacuzzi with external sun deck.
The hotel offers significant development opportunities for extension, conversion to holiday apartments, and redevelopment to residential use subject to planning consent.
Property specialist Savills brought the hotel to market on behalf of a private client.
Martin Rogers, head of UK hotel transactions at Savills, said: "The Cormorant hotel's location is exceptional, with the property geared towards making the most of the views across the estuary. The current owner has run the business very successfully for the last nine years and now wishes to retire. The property has great potential for development in the future."
