Compass Hospitality to manage Craigmonie hotel

Compass Hospitality has taken over management of the Craigmonie hotel in Inverness, the company's second property in Inverness and fifth in Scotland.

The 40-bedroom hotel is also the Thai hospitality company's second partnership with owner the Buxani Group, the first being the acquisition of GoGlasgow earlier this year. The Singapore-based private investment group Buxani acquired the hotel from Paul Linsfield and Simon Haywood, who previously owned and managed the property.

The hotel facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, gymnasium, sauna, restaurant, bar, function rooms, and an onsite carpark.

Matthew Welbourn, executive vice president of operations in the UK, added: "The performance of this hotel over recent years has been promising, and we are excited to partner once again with the Buxani Group to expand our respective portfolios. Inverness is a rapidly growing market, and with public investments being made into infrastructure and into the economy in general. We are excited for a real opportunity here to get ahead of the market."

Compass Hospitality has more than 45 hospitality properties in the UK, Thailand and Malaysia, 16 of which are in the UK since the company's entry into the market in 2015.
